Abstract: Augmented Reality (AR) technologies offer immersive experiences that enhance vocational skill development and training effectiveness. This research examines the role of augmented reality in vocational education and its impact on skill acquisition and performance outcomes. The objective is to assess how AR applications simulate real-world environments, improve learning engagement, and facilitate practical skill development in vocational training. A survey research design is utilized, targeting a sample size of 200 vocational students and 25 instructors in Edo State, Nigeria. Purposive sampling ensures representation of stakeholders familiar with AR technologies in vocational settings. The case study approach investigates AR applications implemented in vocational training programs and their effectiveness in enhancing student learning experiences. Findings indicate that AR enhances spatial awareness, task efficiency, and collaborative learning among vocational students. Recommendations highlight the need for investment in AR infrastructure, curriculum integration, and instructor training to harness the full potential of augmented reality in vocational skill development.
